Scott Sammons

Scott Sammons is a bioinformatics group leader at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. He got his B.S. in Computer Science and Genetics from UGA in 1985 and M.S. in Computer Applications in the Biosciences from UGA in 1987. He joined the CDC in 2000; prior to that, he has worked at Emory University, supervising the Biomolecular Computing Resource, and at Monsanto.

Scott is an author in numerous publications, including a high profile Science publication on the smallpox virus in 2006.
